Sunday Chill Vol.4 Spirit Cards

Sunday Chill Vol.4 Spirit Cards

Tarot cards, Spirit cards, horoscopes and all things mystical have always been on the edge of my personal beliefs. I have been intrigued by them for many years and some stuff like horoscopes I have enjoyed to some extent in my every day since I was a teen, but it is only recently that they have started to play a more significant role in my life.

Last year I was at a really low point, I have been struggling with depression all my life to different extents, and about four years ago I hit my first low for a long time when I was also diagnosed with anxiety. This was a complete shock to me as I didn't ever think that I was an anxious person, I had always been a ballsy, brave risk-taker who wasn't afraid of anything. To be told that the feelings I was having, that felt so alien to me, were in-fact panic attacks was both reassuring and heartbreaking. I had a few different sessions of CBT and finally found some ways to cope with my anxiety so I could deal with everyday life. I will share a little more about that another day, but I wanted to talk today about another thing that has had an impact on my self-esteem more recently.

I am a loud and proud member of the Women Who Create community and through being a part of this amazing group of women my life and the way I go about so many things has changed for the better. I have spoken before about my Business coach and about how I have been taking steps to make changes for the better. Some of the little things that have helped me along with re-discovering my passion for crystals has been these two packs of cards. One was introduced to me at an event and the other by a friend I made at the same event and they both have a role to play in my life now. in fact, I feel like they both balance out each other perfectly, so I want to share them with you.

The first is the Inner Star Oracle Deck from the Darling Tree which was introduced to me by my business coach Els at the WWC weekend in Brighton last year. She used the deck as part of the session we had with her, and the card that I chose from the deck at the beginning of the session and turned over at the end was such a perfect encapsulation of what I was feeling at the time it couldn't be ignored. That weekend I also met Becky who runs natural beauty business Holistica who I had been stalking on Insta for a while. She had posted about a deck of cards that she uses, and they also spoke to me in a way I couldn't shake off, The Inner Compass cards are equally spooky in their accuracy when I come to need their help and guidance.

This may all seem a little hippy for some of you, and to be honest sometimes I find myself feeling the same, but somehow whenever I find myself doubting in the magic, something happens to bring me back in. Sometimes we all need a little bit of magical energy in our lives. I use them both when I feel like I need a little reassurance or when I'm not feeling myself; they often will flag up something that I have been pushing to the back of my mind or force me to think deeper into why I am feeling a certain way. There are lots of different ways to use these kinds of cards, and each person will resonate with them in their way, but I find them both helpful when I feel like I am second guessing myself.

Do you use cards like these, How have you found they help you? Have you ever had your tarot read or are you a bit of a sceptic when it comes to all this stuff? I would love to know. If you are interested in the decks I have spoken about I have added the links to where I bought them in the copy above.

Happy Sunday
